About Shawn
Leading with Purpose. Serving with Trust.
I’ve lived the highs, the lows, and the lessons that shape how I lead today. My journey has not been linear, and it hasn’t been perfect. But every step has refined my understanding of character, service, and what it truly means to show up for others. Those experiences form the foundation of the work I do now as an entrepreneur, leadership advisor, and author.
Why I Do This Work
I grew up in the Bronx, shaped early by community, challenge, and resilience. At 18, I began working at The New York Times, an experience that expanded my perspective and showed me what was possible beyond what I could see at the time. That moment sparked a desire to pursue more — more growth, more purpose, and more meaningful impact.
The journey that followed wasn’t without obstacles. Some were external. Some were my own. Each one required humility, accountability, and intentional decisionmaking. Over time, those experiences clarified my calling: to help others navigate leadership with integrity, service, and selfawareness.
Today, I build platforms, advise leaders, and create resources designed to help individuals and organizations move forward with clarity, grounded values, and purposeful action.
Over the years, I’ve led and advised across multisite and multistate environments, helping organizations build structure, strengthen governance, and develop leaders at every level. My background in people operations and organizational strategy informs the practical, results-oriented approach I bring to every engagement.
How I Work
My approach always begins with listening. Every person and organization carries a story. Before strategy, before structure, before systems — there must be understanding.
From there, we clarify direction and identify practical next steps that create measurable progress.
Whether I’m advising executives, coaching emerging leaders, speaking to organizations, or writing to broader audiences, my work is grounded in trust, honest conversation, and real-world application.
My goal is simple: to help you build clarity, confidence, and momentum in the areas that matter most.
